INDEPENDENCE DAY PICNIC

Yes, we are going to celebrate our India’s independence day on Saturday, August 14th 2010 from 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Stubbs Park.
It will be – as usual a picnic – fun filled with sports, food, entertainments, and “free for all” singing & dancing. There will be a flag parade before the start of cultural shows..!
You don’t have to register in advance for participation to the cultural shows but please provide the names if you want to perform before it starts...

  • ICGD 2010 Cricket Tournament: Nameste India sponsoring championship game starts at 3:00 PM
  • Picnic: Starts at 4:00 PM and ends at 8:30 PM
  • Sports: from 4:00 – 6:00 PM
  • Flag parade: Starts at 6:00 PM with first 10 entries. Preference to members and member kids.
  • Independence Day Cake cutting – after the parade
  • Individual singing/cultural show: From 6:15 PM (and until 8:00 PM)
  • Prize distribution: From 6:30 PM (and until 8:00 PM) at frequent intervals
  • Dinner: Starts at 6:15 PM and Ends at 8:00 PM
Please bring your own lawn chairs..! Bring your own karaoke..! Bring your own fun & simple sports items..!
Sports: we’re planning for volleyball…lemon & spoon… and much more sports..!
Food: “Free… free… and free” for members (limit one plate) & Non member’s cost is $6.00 per plate..! Please become member to get it for free..!
Dinner items: Fresh Choley/Bhatura; Pani Puri; Dhai Pakori; Aloo Tikki special with tava, choley, yogurt, onion spices; Bhel Puri
Drinks: Water, Tandai, and Chai
Dessert: Ice Cream
And Pizza for kids (2 slices each)
India club of Greater Dayton welcomes your attendance, enthusiastic support, sponsorship, donations and volunteers for reducing the cost and work load..!

Please note that the Stubbs Park cultural theater wasn’t available on 15th
(Actual India’s Independence Day) due to city summer music festival
Therefore we have fixed 14th Saturday for our celebration
